2027 planning guide

Choosing an AI Assistant for 2027: Planning Checklist

By the Ofradr team · Updated

Planning your software budget for 2027 starts with the work you expect to do. This forward-looking checklist was published in October 2026. It is not a claim that 2027 products, pricing or benchmarks have already been released.

Write down the job before making a shortlist

Pick your three most frequent tasks. A developer might choose explaining unfamiliar code, researching documentation and rehearsing a technical interview. A different user might need meeting notes or help working in a browser. List the app, operating system and information required for each task.

Separate requirements from preferences. “Runs on my Mac” can be a requirement; a particular visual style is usually a preference. A tool that misses a required workflow should not win because it has more features elsewhere.

Use this trial scorecard

Use the same three tasks and the same time limit for each candidate. Record observations instead of giving a score based on the first impressive answer. Repeat the trial after a major app or model update.

Build a budget from current prices, then recheck

As an October 2026 reference, Ofradr Pro is $30 per month and Elite is $60 per month. Twelve monthly payments at those unchanged rates would total $360 and $720 respectively, before any applicable currency conversion or other charges. This is budgeting arithmetic, not an annual offer or a price guarantee.

Before committing in 2027, revisit the live pricing page and check the currency, renewal schedule, session limits and model access. If your workflow uses a separate model-provider account, include that provider’s cost in your budget too.

Set review points for the coming year

Evaluate the app at the beginning of your project, after a substantial workflow change and before increasing your spend. Keep a short note with the tasks you completed, the problems you could not solve and the features you did not use.

Longer sessions are valuable only if your work actually needs them. For Ofradr, compare Pro’s 180 minutes and 90 chat messages per session with Elite’s unlimited session time and chat messages. Elite access continues for the duration of the verified paid period or active grant.

  • Recheck the live feature list before subscribing.
  • Keep a record of the plan and renewal date you chose.
  • Retest answers when you change model or app version.
  • Choose a smaller plan if it already covers your normal work.
